Innsbruck und Paris. Er war vier Jahre Direktor der Deichtorhallen in Hamburg, bis er 2008 zum Intendanten der Kunst- und Ausstellungshalle der Bundesrepublik Deutschland in Bonn berufen wurde. Seit 2012 ist Robert Fleck Professor f\u00fcr &#8222;Kunst und \u00d6ffentlichkeit&#8220; an der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kunstakademie-duesseldorf.de\/\">Kunstakademie D\u00fcsseldorf<\/a>. Dort ist er zurzeit Prorektor. Er ver\u00f6ffentlichte mehrere B\u00fccher, darunter \u201eDie Abl\u00f6sung vom 20. Jahrhundert. Malerei der Gegenwart\u201c (2013). Zeichensprache und r\u00fcckhaltlose Selbst\u00e4u\u00dferungen gekennzeichnet ist. Die Bilder und Zeichnungen scheinen an der eigenen Seele wie in einem Labor abgelesen. Sie zielen gleichwohl nicht auf subjektive Erscheinungen, sondern auf die Erschlie\u00dfung der Befindlichkeit des zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Individuums in einer sich rasant und unaufhaltsam wandelnden Welt. Sowohl seine Technik, die Bilderwelt aus skripturalen Notaten aufzubauen, als auch die zwischen Figuration und Abstraktion pendelnde Zeichensprache und die Verbindung der eigenen bildnerischen Arbeit mit einem schreibenden Nachdenken \u00fcber die Kunst unserer Zeit, stellen dar\u00fcber hinaus Parallelen zum Werk von Hans Platschek dar, dessen Andenken dieser Preis gewidmet ist.\u201c (Robert
